All You Wanted To Know About Combine Concave Repair And Maintenance

The combine concave is a very handy piece of farming equipment. It combines the functions of reaping, winnowing, and threshing thus helping in making harvesting more efficient. The combine concave needs to work at its best during the harvesting season when it needs to be used continuously until harvesting is complete. Any breakdown during this time will call for repair, which can take a lot of time. Combine concave repair and maintenance go hand in hand. If the equipment is maintained well, the need for repair does not arise since the chances of breakdown are reduced.

Reducing repair instances through effective maintenance

To avoid combine concave repair, it is important to maintain the equipment well. Proper maintenance would ensure that there are no problems. A systematic and proper maintenance schedule ensures that the combine concave repair can be avoided since the combine harvester would be in good working condition.

The following are some guidelines that can be used for the maintenance of the combine concave. These can be followed to ensure the combine works well during the harvesting period;

1)    The first thing to do is to run the harvester to check if it is working. This will help in understanding if the harvester works well and has no problem. Any problems can be noted and necessary action taken.

2)    Dirt and any debris must be cleaned and removed from the combine. This is important to ensure the combine is not damaged. Dirt and debris can cause rats to enter the equipment and damage the wiring. This is why it is important to remove dirt and debris.

3)    The radiation and heat exchanges need to be blow cleaned. The entire inside part needs to be cleaned.

4)    While washing the combine concave, it is important to ensure that the water does not enter any of the moving parts as it can cause rusting.

5)    Inspection plates need to be opened up. All the components need to be checked properly.

6)    The concave and the sieves need to be opened to check for their working.

7)    In case of any scratches, paint work can be done to patch up.

8)    It is important to check all the bearing in the combine and replace bearings that are corroded or have any problems.

9)    Oil and filters need to be changed. All the fittings that need greasing should be oiled.

10)    Augers and conveyors should be properly checked to ensure they are working well. Any belt that has loosened should be properly tightened.

11)    Check the feeder house paneling to find out if there is any wear and tear.

12)    The walkers, rotors, and straw choppers need to be inspected for cracks, damages, or any wear and tear.

13)    If the harvester is used after dusk, then lights are used and they need to be checked.

14)    Lastly, sufficient fuel should be made available.

Proper maintenance ensures there is no need for the combine concave repair and it remains in good working condition.

Enhance Performance and Productivity Using Modern Combine Concaves

Combine concaves are farming equipment used to separating the crops from the chaff. The equipment works with the rotor and automatically thrashes or separates the crops. After the thrashing and separating processes, the grain is ready for storage. In the United States of America, many businesses are known to design and manufacture modern-day harvesting machinery. The Estes Performance Concaves is one such business that engages in designing, manufacturing and selling modern combine concaves . The blog discusses, in brief, the importance of these farming equipment in the context of modern-day agricultural harvesting. It also discusses the purpose and benefits of these farming equipment. Also, the reader understands how to order a combine concave online. Purpose of the Combine Concaves This blog section throws light on the purpose of the combine concaves . The machinery, in context, is part of the modern-day harvester, and it is associated with the thrashing and separating of the crop...
